Mid Oxon Under 14s lifted the Warwickshire Cup with a 3-2 victory after extra time over Erdington & Saltley in the final at Old Woodstock Town.
The two sides were locked together at 2-2 after normal time, and Mid Oxon grabbed the winner when Declan Shepperd headed a Julius Mugara corner across goal for Ben Buckledee to tap home.
Mid Oxon had opened the scoring when Josh Burnham stabbled the ball home after Erdington keeper Sam Hornby parried David Newory-rsky’s superb strike.
Erdington levelled when Shakil McDonald beat two defenders, before calmly slotting under keeper Ben Tinsley.
Mid Oxon went back in front just before half-time with Will Vandenberghe heading home Mugara’s corner.
The second half saw Erdington respond, and McDonald scored again with an excellent goal from 18 yards.
But Mid Oxon had the final word in extra time.
