Oxfordshire Under 10s produced a cracking display in the National Premier Doubles event in Gloucester – finishing as runners-up to the hosts in a novel team event.
With each county fielding a six-strong team, it proved a real collective effort to reach the final.
A new format saw a boys doubles played for ten minutes, before a bell rang and the girls doubles took to the court, taking on the score from the earlier match.
The mixed then followed, with scores carried over each time.
Oxon won two of their three group games to progress as runners-up, before edging past Avon 6-5 in the semi-final to reach the final.
They then found Gloucester too strong, going down 10-2.
