Chris Wilder is confident Oxford United will land midfielder Adam Chapman.
“I think there’s a more than decent chance,” said the U’s boss.
“We’re in discussions with Sheffield United, but we’re also having to take into consideration that he’s been their player for quite a while, he’s been in their development sides for many years.
“We’re pretty confident we can get him because the most important thing is that he wants to join us.”
Chapman, 21, has been a revelation in United’s side since making his debut on loan from the Blades in January, scoring the winning goal with a brilliant free-kick at Burton in their last away game which gave them a chance of reaching the play-offs on the final day.
He was also called up by Northern Ireland Under 21s.
