Player of the Year James Constable has finally explained the origins of his nickname 'Beano', which is sung by the Oxford faithful.
It is not, as widely thought, anything to do with the comic, simply that that he looked like a baked bean as a child!
“When I was four or five, I had orange hair and freckles. I had the mickey taken out of me and it's stuck since then,” he explained to BBC Oxford.
