Steph Mobbs hit a hat-trick as Oxford City retained the County Cup with a 3-0 victory over Launton Ladies in the final at Ardley United FC.

Mobbs scored once in the first period, before netting twice in four second-half minutes.

The holders took the lead when Mobbs fired home after good work from Hannah Sm-ye and Claire Bates.

Launton rarely threatened, their only shot flying wide of the target.

However, the match was still in the balance until 17 minutes from time when Mobbs scored from a rebound after Smye’s long-range shot had hit the bar.

Four minutes later, Mobbs ran through and finished well after an excellent ball from Louise Craig.

l OXFORD United Ladies have already won promotion back into the Southern League Premier Division, but aim to bow out on a high in a double-header against title rivals Maidenhead on Sunday.
