Oxfordshire Shield
Abingdon made it third time lucky when they beat Blue Boar 20-12 to win the final at Iffley Road.
Beaten in two previous finals, Abingdon's pack dominated the game and restricted Blue Boar's talented back line to a handful of chances.
A penalty by fly half Robert Milnes gave Abingdon an early lead and they extended it with centre Dan Stalker's try in the 28th minute, Milnes converting.
Four minutes later, Abingdon appeared to have the game by the scruff of the neck when lock Steve Grant went over for an unconverted try.
But in injury time at the end of the half, Blue Boar replied with a well-worked try from lock Barney Harrison.
Blue Boar closed the gap further midway through the second half when their dangerous captain Sam Stoop scored a try which he converted to make it 15-12.
But Abingdon clinched the result with a try by Milnes, which he failed to convert.
Abingdon's determined defence defied Boar's attempts to hang on to their trophy.
