3.35 The Kassam Stadium is filling up fast. The car park looks full and there's a buzz of anticipation around the whole stadium.
3.55 The teams enter the pitch. Wow. The noise is deafening.
4.00 The players of the season are announced on the pitch. James Constable receives a massive ovation as he collects both the supporters player of the year and players' player award. The other honours go to Adam Chapman (young player), Sam Deering (U18 player of the season). and Luke Foster (March player of the month).
4.04 And we're off... The atmosphere in the ground is amazing. And United's captain Adam Murray wins a crucial toss meaning the U's will be kicking towards the Oxford Mail stand in the second half.
4.10 Oxford have a sense of urgency about their play, but cannot sustain any real pressure.
4.12 James Constable gives away a free-kick in a dangerous area, but the effort is woeful.
4.15 BIG BOOST A huge cheer rings around the stadium as news comes through that Burton have taken the lead against Torquay. GREAT NEWS
4.22 How close. A super cross from Chris Carruthers and Yemi Odubade acrobatically volleys inches wide. From where we are, it looked to be going in. This isn't good for your nerves!
4.23 BAD NEWS Former United captain Chris Hargreaves has equalised for Torquay. 1-1 between them and Burton, but United have to hope Burton win that game to stand a chance...
4.25 Two chances for United. Lewis Haldane's near post shot is saved, and when the ball breaks loose, Adam Chapman doesn't catch a left-footed effort that is comfortable for the keeper.
4.35 The fans are trying to do their bit to get United going but the game has hit a bit of a flat spot at the moment
4.39 The best chance of the game. Simon Clist does fantastically well down the right, his cross is controlled by Yemi Odubade, who shoots for goal, only for a defender to get in a crucial block and deflect the ball for a corner
4.45 DISASTER A great strike from Northwich's Jamie Mullan from 18 yards flies into the net. OXFORD 0, NORTHWICH 1
4.47 Half-time. It really will be fairytale stuff if Oxford turn it around and other results go their way
5.05 The players are back out on the pitch. And the second half starts...COME ON OXFORD
5.06 Within 10 seconds Adam Chapman has shot over the bar...promising start

5.16 DEVASTATING NEWS FROM PLAINMOOR Torquay are 2-1 up against Burton. Oxford now need to score two, hope Burton score two, and that Kidderminster do not score...hopes are fading
5.23 Strange feeling in the ground - most fans seen resigned to another season in the Conference, but will not stop singing. Northwich make a sub - they're time-wasting already!
5.26 You get the feeling it isn't going to be their day. Luke Foster has a header saved on the line, and from five quickfire corners another great chance - Yemi looks like he was tripped, the ball runs to Farrell who just has the keeper to beat, but the ball deflects off him for a corner.
5.30 Nelthorpe replaces Carruthers...and the gate is revealed as an impressive 10,298
5.39 It really is a great atmosphere here - whatever happens, United are going to get a fabulous reception at the final whistle
5.42 A man in his pants has just run onto the pitch and climbed over the gate at the open end and run off. Now three other morons have done the same. Billy Turley is forced to rugby tackle the last idiot while the stewards all stand and watch. 5.45 IT'S ALL GOING ON HERE. GOAL - James Constable makes it 1-1 and then the fans invade the pitch again. It's just ridiculous. BUT OXFORD ARE BACK IN IT. WOW
IT'S ALL OVER. Northwich score with 4 minutes to go. The dream is over....
