One of Oxford United’s oldest former players has issued a good luck message to Chris Wilder’s team tomorrow.
David Gibson, an outside right who played for Headington United and Everton in the 1950s, is now 78 and lives in Wales.
He said: “I’d just like to wish Chris and all the players all the best for Sunday’s big game.
“I’ve put a yellow United shirt on and am waiting in the wings to be recalled!
“With Everton in the FA Cup final, it would be fantastic if my two former clubs both enjoyed Wembley wins.”
Gibson featured for United under both Harry Thompson and Arthur Turner.
