There will be no brotherly love lost when Oxford Saints open up their BAFL Division 1 South West Conference campaign with a trip to take on South Wales Warriors tomorrow.
Long-time defensive lineman Graeme Cribbes left the Saints in the off-season to join forces with the Warriors.
Man mountain Graeme will be lining up for his new side directly opposite his younger – but just as big – brother Stuart, who remains with the Saints With near on 40 stone of prime British beef going at it, this is a true ‘battle of the bulge.’ The Saints finished their pre-season preparations with a controlled scrimmage against the Cambridge Bolstered by some new signings and the return of most of last year’s veterans plus the addition of a number of rookies, Saints will be hoping for a winning start.
They did the double over the Warriors the last time they met in 2006.
