Banbury Under 11 B shared the Derby MiniFest with the host club after drawing the final 0-0.
Despite being labelled A and B, Banbury entered two teams of equal standing.
And Banbury B defeated Banbury A 15-0 in the semi-finals with tries from Jack Briggs (2) and Aaron Taylor.
The A team’s cause was not helped by a minor head injury to fly half Caleb Shepherd, who had already scored seven tries in the tournament!
The referee suggested continuing for a golden try in the final, but Derby declined and offered to share the spoils.
Bicester Under 13s won both matches during their tour to Tregoyd, Wales.
The Oxfordshire side defeated Brecon 40-19 and Builth Wells 28-24 on a successful weekend.
