Horse and Harrow ended Nelson's seven-year reign as Premier Section champions in the Johnsons Buildbase League after a 3-2 away win at Section 1 winners Didcot Con Club.
Dave Tooke produced his best game of the season to put Didcot in front, scoring 15,740 including a break of 10,860, but the champions replied to take the next two through Paul Lawson (6,870, break 6,260) and Ian Moquet (7,510), the latter taking the most wins award.
A brilliant display from Jenny Abbott, who scored 8,580, made it 2-2, before Gary Johnson stepped in to clinch the title with a 5,860-4,870 victory over Sue Atkins.
The runners-up spot was taken by Nelson, who won 4-1 at Gladiators Club.
Steven Sheard (8,270, break 8,000), Keith Sheard (10,570, break 10,000) and Pauline Withey, who beat Dave Jarman 5,560-4,370 put them 3-0 up.
Keith Gardner (12,040) made it 3-1, before Pete Ewins completed victory.
With Didcot winning Section 1, Masons A took the runners-up spot, despite losing 3-2 at home to Vikings.
Martyn Wood put Masons ahead with 6,930, then Vikings captured the next two games via Alan Lacey (12,590 break) and Alan Oliver (7,580).
Mick Murphy squared the match, beating Ian Moss 4,490-1,310 and in the final game, Bob Allsworth triumphed 5,270-4,440 over Dave Rose to decide it.
Democrats wrapped up the Section 2 crown with two matches to spare despite a 3-2 defeat away to Shelley.
John Patey and Richard Garrett (3,630) put the champs in front, before a spirited comeback from the home side took the match with wins from Dave Bowler (3,560), Gary Coulthard (2,820) and Martin Coulthard (2,130).
Runners-up will be one of Gladiators Club, Dolphin B or Headington Con Club, the latter taking a giant stride after pulling off a 4-1 victory at Dolphin.
l SUMMER 3-a-side League entry forms are now being circulated to any team who wishes to enter.
They should be returned to secretary Pete Ewins by May 22.
