Come on Barrow! That's what Oxford United fans will be screaming tomorrow night as they try to will Chris Wilder's men on to at least have a chance of reaching the play-offs in this Sunday's dramatic final day of the season.

It was a great weekend for Oxford, after a 1-0 win at Burton on Friday was followed by the other four teams bidding for a Blue Square Premier play-off place all drawing on Saturday.

It means that one of Burton or Cambridge – who are going head to head for the title – have secured a play-off place, with the other three spaces still up for grabs.

But tomorrow night will determine whether United’s season goes down to the wire.

In short, if three of Histon, Torquay, Kidderminster or Stevenage win either of their final two games, Oxford will miss out.

Any other combination of results, and Wilder’s men have a chance.

United really need Torquay to drop points at Barrow’s Holker Street, and hope that Stevenage v Kidderminster ideally ends in a draw.

Histon also play tomorrow night, at home to Weymouth, and with the Terras in all kinds of trouble, they should pick up three points.

If Stevenage v Kidderminster finishes as a draw and both Histon and Torquay win, Oxford could still catch Stevenage and Kidderminster by winning their final game, against already-relegated Northwich at the Kassam Stadium on Sunday (4pm).

But Kidderminster would expect to win at home to Kettering on the last day, so Oxford's best hope of overtaking the two teams they need to overhaul is for one of those teams to be Torquay.

And that's why relegation-threatened Barrow's clash with Torquay tomorrow is so important.

Barrow, who got an injury-time equaliser to draw 3-3 at home to Crawley on Saturday, need points to avoid the drop.

If Torquay did fail to win in Cumbria, they face a nerve-jangling final match at home to Burton, who still need a point to guarantee promotion.

There are still a great number of permutations, but for Oxford to have any chance of a top-five finishing place, they need at least one result to go their way tomorrow.
