Goalkeeper Billy Turley kept Oxford United's Blue Square Premier play-off hopes alive in the first 45 minutes at Burton Albion, pulling off fine saves from Lee Morris and Keith Gilroy.
Burton, needing just a point to take the title, dominated a stop-start goalless half, which saw United's Adam Murray, Lewis Haldane and Adam Chapman yellow-carded.
