Darren Pond bagged a brace as Oxford City kept alive their slim play-off hopes with a demolition of basement boys Mangotsfield.
City quickly got into their stride and took the lead when their former Oxford United youngster Alex Fisher set up Pond, who beat Josh Clapham in the visitors goal.
Mangotsfield had their chances, but Mitchell Page squandered the first and Steve Fitzpatrick later fired a shot wide.
Fisher almost got a second when he charged down a kick from Clapham, but Ryan Bennett cleared the ball from the area.
A corner from the visitors’ Ben Swallow caused a scramble in City's goalmouth.
Justin Merritt’s side doubled their lead when a cross from Fisher was brilliantly put away by winger Mark Bell.
Less than a minute later, Fisher dummied for the ball to fall to Craig Faulconbridge whose cross was exquisitely smashed home by Pond for his second of the game.
In the second half, Mangotsfield began to create chances, but still lacked the finishing touch.
Victory was sealed when Liam Malone hit City’s fourth when he beat Clapham at his near post to keep alive City’s play-off ambitions and virtually relegate consign Mangotsfield to relegation. Oxford C: Harrison, Clarke, Ballard(Lambert 68) Gunn, Pond, Savage, (Malone 55) Lyon, Fisher (Faulkner 74), Faulconbridge, Baird, Bell. Subs not used: R Brooks, Benjamin.
