Fieldside won the Oxford & District League's Atox Cup for the third consecutive year after thrashing Riley A 5-1 in this year’s final.
The result was never in doubt with Fieldside in total command of the opening four frames.
Paul Robinson (scr) was in brilliant form against Malcolm Bough (+20), compiling a break of 44 in just his second visit to the table as he won 75-26.
Simon Aries (scr) then saw off Allan Copelin (+20) 75-46, before Bob Chivers (scr) edged past Gary Bough (+20) 75-51 to put Fieldside on the brink of victory.
And it wasn’t long before Robinson sealed a hat-trick of cup wins when he beat Malcolm Bough 75-31 to make it 4-0.
Aries defeated Copelin 75-60 as Fieldside looked set for a whitewash.
But Gary Bough ensured Riley were not totally humiliated when he beat Chivers 75-64 in the final frame of the night to make it 5-1.
l IN the semi-finals of the Turner Cup, played at Eynsham Sports Club, Alan Mander and John Street booked their places in the final.
Mander (New Club) beat Roger Tomlin (Riley B) 250-189, while Street (Ashton) saw off Dave White (New Club) 250-168.
The final takes place tonight.
