Oxford City went goal crazy in the British Gas Business Southern League Premier Division on Tuesday night, beating Cleveden 5-3 as James Faulkner bagged a hat-trick at Court Place Farm.

Andy Gunn hit the bar from a Mark Bell corner before Faulkner put City ahead on 19 minutes.

Clevedon levelled through Josh Brigham on the half hour to make it all square at the break.

Faulkner’s second after 50 minutes restored City’s advantage, before Michael Lyon netted No 3, a candidate for goal of the season as his strike from near the corner flag hit the far post and went in.

Clevedon reduced the arrears again through Tom Billing and then Matthew Walsh netted from the penalty spot.

City responded as Faulkner netted with a crisp drive that gave the keeper no chance, and three minutes from time, Bell found the top corner with No 5.

Abingdon United upset the formbook by seeing off second-placed Windsor & Eton 2-0 at Northcourt Road in Division 1 South & West.

After a goalless first half, Windsor missed a great chance before Abingdon took the lead when Luke Holden scored from an acute angle on 80 minutes.

United wrapped up the points with a minute remaining. Michaes Herbert sent Billy Beechers through and he beat the keeper before rolling the ball home.

A Liam Hope brace and Chris Allen’s strike saw North Leigh come from behind for a 3-1 win over Andover at Eynsham Park.

The visitors went ahead on 12 minutes when Lloyd Webber drilled home from eight yards, but North Leigh levelled before the break. Ben Reardon was brought down and Hope netted from the penalty spot.

Reardon sent Allen clear to make it 2-1 in the 76th minute and Reardon was again the provider for Hope’s second with two minutes left.
