Oxford United keeper Billy Turley saved a penalty to keep his side's play-off hopes alive.
Turley kept out Onome Sodje's spot-kick after 20 minutes as the teams went into half-time all square.
As well as winning the game, United will be hoping Stevenage throw away their half-time lead over Cambridge, as well as Kidderminster and Histon fail to win their games at Forest Green and Wrexham respectively. The scores in those matches 1-1 and 0-0.
