Jim Smith has stepped down as a paid director of Oxford United.
The story, first revealed by the Oxford Mail, was confirmed at Monday night’s Fans’ Forum.
But the ex-U’s boss is still heavily involved in the club and has been tremendously supportive, said chairman Kelvin Thomas.
“Although not technically a director, Jim has possibly helped us out more in the last six months than for a while,” he added.
It was also revealed at the forum that Oxford United will announce season ticket prices for next season THIS WEEK, with an early-bird financial discount.
And Thomas rejected a BBC report that James Constable might after all be remaining with Shrewsbury.
“Agreements are in place with Shrewsbury and with James,” he confirmed.
