Assistant boss Mike Ford has praised Oxford City’s players for their response – and wants more of the same when they host Clevedon Town in the British Gas Business Southern League Premier Division on Tuesday night.
Although City were held to a 1-1 draw by Stourbridge on Saturday, which dented their play-off hopes, Ford was encouraged by the display.
“It was a much better performance,” he said.
“We were looking for a response and the players were excellent in training.
“But for gifting them a goal, we would have won 1-0.”
Abingdon United host Windsor & Eton in Division 1 South & West, while North Leigh entertain Andover.
