Chinnor coach Jason Bowers said he had always backed his side against Rugby Lions.
“I never felt at any point that we were going to lose the game,” said Bowers.
“The guys knew the importance of the game and really turned up.
“I felt we played very well today.
“I thought we destroyed them up front.
“The first try was vintage forwards’ rugby.
“I would have preferred us to keep it tighter in the first half. We were playing beach rugby a few weeks too early.
“We had a game plan and that worked. We wanted to move their big pack around.
“We pride ourselves on our fitness levels, and that was crucial.
“It was also great to have such good travelling support, which was a big boost to the players.”
