Wantage gymnast Polly Hitchings had reason to celebrate after qualifying for the Compulsory Women's Artistic National Finals in Birmingham in May.
The eight-year-old, who used to be a member of Wantage Gymnasts, but left to join the Thatcham-based KD Gymnastics, booked her place in Birmingham after competing in the Southern Region Compulsory competition at Portsmouth.
Polly finished fifth overall in the region, second on the range and conditioning and second on beam.
Five youngsters from Carterton took part in the Oxfordshire Under 8 competition – Katie Rigby, Laura Turberville, Natasha Granville, Georgia Bishop and Mollin Mullins performed on vault, bars, beam and range and conditioning.
