Sam Snell produced a great display in his first European Karting event in Angerville, France.
The 17-year-old Wheatley Park student, came through the heats and semi-finals to reach the final in the double-header meeting, finishing seventh on the opening day, before winning the second final.
Snell’s prize – as well as a big trophy – was a cheque for €600, a bottle of champagne and 25 litres of Elf Fuel.
However, Snell is unlikely to contest the rest of the French Championship due to financial constraints and exam commitments (AS levels), but he is planning to compete in the European Qualifiers at the end of April.
