Oxford United manager Chris Wilder has likened his side’s play-off bid as being like on a reality TV show.

And he believes that the U’s have what it takes to see it through.

“We're confident, but we know Stevenage is going to be another big ask,” he said ahead of tomorrow’s crunch match.

“If we want to take it on for another week, we've got to make sure we get a result.

“It's like these reality programmes, isn't it? We don't want to be the ones that's evicted, we want to stay on until the final furlong.

“The players have shown a great desire to be successful.

“That's going to be a standard thing from people I bring into the club, they're not going to be here just to see their careers out, not just see a season out. I want them to achieve.

“And they're achieving at the moment. Whether it's going to be good enough at the end of the season, we don't know.

“We're on a great run and we're looking forward to every challenge that's put in front of us.”

Oxford have played more games than their play-off chasing rivals, but a glance at who Stevenage and Kidderminster have yet to play gives them great hope.

Stevenage have still to play Kidderminster both home and away, plus Cambridge, Crawley and Torquay, as well as Oxford this Saturday.

And the Harriers, in addition to their two duels against Stevenage, must face Burton, Histon and Kettering where points will inevitably be dropped.

It could be a scintillating end to the season.
