Chipping Norton’s new ladies’ captain Gill Woolley is welcomed into office by fellow members with an archway of clubs.
Woolley, whose husband Patrick was a former men’s captain at Chippy, was given the reception at her drive-in.
A leading player in setting up Chippy’s junior section, Woolley’s big day included a fun nine-hole competition.
THREE golfers have hit holes-in-one at North Oxford in the past two weeks.
Vice-captain Mick French aced the par-three third with a driver and Lee Wheeler achieved the feat with a five-iron on the sixth. Les Morton, 80, had earlier holed-in-one at the 135-yard 11th.
