City of Oxford’s Sam van de Schootbrugge excelled with two victories on his debut for England in the Four Nations Schools Championships in Swansea.
Representing the European School in Culham, van de Schootbrugge won the 200m individual medley and formed part of the winning 4 x 100m freestyle relay.
Both performances set new championship records and should enhance his chances of selection for the World Schools Championships in Doha, Qatar, later this year.
