Glory Farm reached the fourth round of the Banbury Charity Cup with a 5-4 penalty shoot-out at Arncott.

With the Banbury District & Lord Jersey sides locked at 3-3 after extra-time it went down to a nerve-wracking spot-kick finale.

Arncott had taken the lead with a 30-yard effort from Lewis Smith, before Luke Moss equalised before the break.

In the second half, both sides were reduced to ten men when Arncott’s Adam Blaylock and Glory Farm’s Lee Blossom were given their marching.

Arncott restored their lead through Tony Davidson, only for Neil Tattersall to head in from close range in the final minute and ensure extra-time.

Arncott again went ahead through Nick Smith, but Ian Gilby stabbed home in the final minute to send the tie to penalties.

Glory Farm won the shoot-out with goals from Tattersall, Mark Hobbs, Moss, Lee Wright, and Ashley Payne. Arncott scored each of their penaties until Smith missed their fifth kick as Glory went through.

In Division 1, Mark Trusler got the winner as ABK Sports came from behind to win 2-1 at Fenny Compton.

Mark Scarborough’s opener was cancelled out by Ross Holliday – his first goal of the season.

Craig Kingham got the winner as ABK Res saw off Heyford United Res in Division 3.

Matty Graham scored a double as Glory Farm Res beat Drayton Res 3-2.

Mike Woodward got their other, with Iain Rivers and Scott Grimsley the scorers for Drayton.
