Henley Hawks director of rugby Jason Forster was highly satisfied with his side’s display against local rivals Chinnor.
Forster said: “Coming here on the back of two big wins, Chinnor were going to be full of confidence.
“But I thought we played a fantastic game of rugby.
“We should have had five points – we had the chances.
“We got the rewards for all our hard work.
“We had a lot of turnovers in the set pieces.
“The whole pack did well. It was an eight-man effort.”
Chinnor’s assistant coach John Vaughan said: “We knew it would be tough because we had a few changes from last week, and they had a lot of players back.
“They won fair and square.
“It was just a moment of genius from Christian Wade that meant we went in ahead at half-time.
“The boys have all played quite well to keep them to two tries, but our discipline let us down a little bit in the second half.”
