Full back Murray Stewart bagged four tries as Gosford All Blacks won 35-22 at home to Stow-on-the-Wold in the BB&O Premier Division.

Centre Harry Sutton, on as a blood replacement for scrum half Andy Sheppard, set up wing Ant Murray to score Gosford’s first try.

Stewart dummied his way over for No 2, with wing Tim Ellis converting.

Tight-head prop Ian Beesley forced his way over for Stow, but Ellis kicked a penalty.

Stewart started and finished the move for his second try.

Stow hit back with No 8 Craig Chapman driving over and Dan Packer converting.

Stewart completed his treble, Ellis converting.

Chapman was yellow-carded after half-time, but Gosford only added an Ellis penalty.

Stow produced scores from Will James and Chapman, but Sutton set up Stewart for his fourth.

Oxford also had a hat-trick hero in Phil Longuet-Higgins as they thrashed Phoenix 56-22.

The visitors led 17-5, with lock Charlie Mason managing Oxford’s try.

But Stuart Waknell’s interception score, Longuet-Higgins and Waknell’s second gave Oxford a 20-17 half-time lead.

Tom Olley finally found his kicking boots with a penalty, then Longuet-Higgins ran in his second.

From the restart, Oxford’s Yosuke Kikuma went over on the opposite wing, with Olley converting for 35-17.

Phoenix bagged another try, but Mason, Longuet-Higgins, No 8 Will Thompson all crossed for Oxford, with Olley converting all three.
