Abingdon Tn 1 (Simms 82)

Shrivenham 0

Four players received their marching orders as Abingdon Town picked up a crucial three points in this relegation battle at Culham Road.

Mark Simms’s strike eight minutes from time was enough to seal victory in a game which ended with both sides playing with nine men.

The first red card came when Town keeper Gareth Walker clashed with an onrushing Shrivenham striker, and referee Kevin Howick dismissed Walker.

Despite being a man short, Abingdon started the second half brightly, but they were then reduced to nine men when Jim Smith was bokoed for a foul, but then received a second yellow card for dissent.

The visitors then had Jon Peters sent off for violent conduct, and when Scott Scanlon got his marching orders for a second booking, it was nine against nine.

The only goal came when substitute Ian Smith played the ball into the path of Simms, who crashed home a super strike.

Bicester Tn 1 (Blenford 42)

Almondsbury Tn 0

Bicester Town continued their houdini act with a superb victory against high-flying Almondsbury.

The only goal came at the end of the first half when John Curtis crossed from the right to the far post, where Matty Blenford headed home.

Witney Utd 4 (Wickens 35, 39, Lewis 45, 55)

Pegasus Juniors 2 (Hyde 12, Gwynne 59)

A four-goal blitz in 22 minutes gave Witney a battling victory against Pegasus.

The visitors went in front early on when Cory Hyde finished neatly.

Witney’s Ben Thompson was then tripped in the box, but captain John McMahon saw his spot-kick saved by Pegasus keeper Bryn Watkins.

Witney pulled level when JP Mills crossed for Gary Wickens to head home, and then Wickens met a Jason Bowler corner to put his side in front.

Six minutes later, it was 3-1 when Kevin Lewis slotted home.

Ten minutes after the break, Lewis fired home an unstoppable effort into the top corner, before Pegasus pulled one back through Simon Gwynne.

The visitors had Matt Smalley sent off for a professional foul, as Witney held on for victory.

Milton Utd 1 (Drake 36)

Kidlington 3 (Cattell 21, Wise 52, 63)

Kidlington increased the pressure on relegation-threatened Milton with this comfortable victory.

They went in front midway through the first half when Stuart Cattell prodded home a Mark Flanagan corner.

Milton levelled when Matt Drake struck powerfully past Kidlington keeper Jon Beames.

Kidlington went back in front as a cross from Denel Thomas was flicked into Danny Wise’s path, who hammered the ball home, and Wise made the game safe 11 minutes later, turning home a Flanagan corner.

Ardley Utd 3 (Ibrahim 11, 41, Stidder 89)

Hook Norton 1 (Standen 35)

Ardley United consolidated their position in the top four as they beat Hook Norton at Oxford Road.

Sammy Ibrahim put the home side ahead, but Carl Standen levelled from a free-kick.

Lazy defending by Hooky allowed Ibrahim to restore the home side’s advantage just before the break, while Alex Feaver netted from close range, only for the effort to be ruled out for offside.

Ardley completed victory a minute from time when Andy Stidder sneaked in on the right to lift the ball over Okole into the far corner.
