OXFORD United have offered professional contracts to right back Ian Sampson and midfielder Richard Groves, but Alex Fisher has been released.
Striker Fisher, who has scored two goals for the first team, has been told he will not be offered a pro deal, along with Chris Fower and James Foster.
Declan Benjamin, who broke a leg in pre-season, has been given a deal until Christmas to prove himself.
“Ian and Richard deserve their chance,” said youth development officer Les Taylor.
“They have both done ever so well at under 18 level and have impressed while training with the first team.”
Manager Chris Wilder said: “Ian and Richard are still raw and have plenty to learn, but are hard working, have great attitudes, and provided they listen to advice they now have a great opportunity with us.”
