Wallingford coach Chris Norrington felt his side were well-placed to defeat Olney at half-time.
He said: “We felt if we could sort out our retention and get some quick ball, the chances would come.
“We looked after their full back pretty well and knew he was their danger man.
“Unfortunately a loose kick and three misses tackles later, he had scored.
“We are missing six first-choice players at the moment. Considering that, the lads stepped up well.
“If we just had one or two of them back, that would have been enough today.”
