Bicester Tn 1 (Curtis 57)

Lowly Bicester caused one of the upsets of the season when they all but ended Witney’s Premier Division promotion hopes with a stunning victory The visitors, struggling to avoid the drop, defended valiantly throughout, especially after taking the lead early into the second period.

Their goal was taken superbly by John Curtis after he was put clear by Matt Blenford, who had robbed Dean Moss on halfway.

Witney then laid siege to the Bicester goal and Gary Wickens had a goal disallowed for offside before Jason Bowler and Ben Thompson both hit the bar.

Bicester struggled to get out of their half, but held on for a memorable win.

Milton Utd 1 (Drake 65)

Milton eased their own relegation worries with a narrow victory over their derby rivals.

In a poor first half, Milton’s left winger Warren McCabe sliced wide with an open goal beckoning, while visiting keeper Craig Griffiths turned over a solitary effort from striker Danny Keen.

The only goal came when Milton substitute Matt Drake found himself in the Wantage half with only keeper Darryl Simms to beat, and netted with a low shot.

Ardley Utd 2 (Clark 8, Stidder 47)

Almondsbury 1 (Kabba 86)

Former Oxford United defender Les Robinson helped Ardley to secure victory in a tight encounter.

The 42-year-old stepped in to help out as Ardley’s regular centre halves were unavailable, and continually frustrated Almondsbury’s attack.

Danny Clarke opened Ardley’s account when he played a one-two with Sammy Ibrahim before placing the ball past a stranded Matt Hamilton.

Two minutes into the second half, Danny Clarke ran from from inside his own half, before crossing for Andrew Stidder to make it 2-0.

It took a slip in the Ardley backline to let in Sahr Kabba to reduce the arrears in the 86th minute.

Almondsbury were unable to find the equaliser.

Abingdon Tn 1 (Green 90)

Pegasus Jun 2 (Hyde 6, 85

Abingdon's mini-revival came to an abrupt end after they went behind early on to Cory Hyde’s powerful shot.

The turning point of the game came midway through the first half when Abingdon were awarded a penalty after Jim Smith crashed to the ground.

But following vociferious protests, the referee consulted his assistant and reversed his decision, which had looked a little generous.

After being denied several times by keeper Jarrod Clay , Abingdon went further behind to another goal from Hyde.

In injury time, Ben Green gave Abingdon hope with a smart finish, but they could not muster an equaliser.

Hook Norton 0

Highworth Tn 3 (Robertson 13, 62, Dingle 58)

Hook Norton’s disappointing series of results continued with a home defeat to a young Highworth side.

Highworth went ahead when a stinging shot from Terry Bohane struck the bar, and Steve Robertson netted the rebound.

Tom Dingle made it 2-0 in the second half , before Robertson sealed the result following a mistake from Hooky keeper John Okole, who dropped the ball.
