Magdalen College School’s Under 14 team are celebrating after winning the South Regional Championship at Bloxham School.
The Oxford youngsters won three of their four games to top the group, and now go on to the national finals at Millfield School next Thursday.
MCS opened up with a 4-0 win over eventual runners-up Cranleigh.
They then lost 2-0 to Whitgift School, but a 1-0 win over Wellington College, and a 4-1 victory against KES Southampton saw them finish two points clear.
The MCS display was highlighted by James Lawton Smith's powerful running, Joe Foster's distribution and Chris Whiteside's goalkeeping.
Lawton-Smith led the way with three goals, while Masahiro Kusunoki bagged a brace.
