Eddie Pepperell produced a solid showing to reach the quarter-finals of the Spanish Amateur Championship in Seville.
The 18-year-old Drayton Park member, who made the semi-finals in 2008, lost out to French international Victor Dubuisson.
Pepperell was one of nine English players to reach the last 32 in Seville.
FRILFORD Heath reached round two of the Mail on Sunday Classic after a 4-1 win at North Oxford.
Paul Dolton, Derek Walton, Jim Wilson and John Summers secured Frilford’s victories, with Steve Millar bagging North Oxford’s point.
MICK Osborn and Arlene Nicholson drove in as Bicester’s new captains.
The pair have chosen Macmillan Cancer Support as their charity for the year.
Following the drive-ins, there was a Texas scramble which was won by Matt Haddy, Mick Curson, Keith Nicholson and Paul Atkins.
They notched a fantastic score of 57.2 – 13.8 under par.
