Chinnor could be left biting their nails for a fortnight after they play their final National 3 South match of the season.

That is because Lydney, their most likely rivals in avoiding the second relegation spot, will still have two games left.

Chinnor end their campaign at home to London Scottish on April 18, but earlier postponements mean Lydney face Ealing on April 25 and Canterbury on May 2.

If the Oxfordshire club are 11 points ahead of Lydney by then, those fixtures will be academic.

But as the season has ebbed and flowed from the start, that does not seem likely.

Ealing and Canterbury are both top sides, but are unlikely to have more than pride to play for by then as there is no play-off spot up for grabs.

Although other clubs could yet be sucked into the relegation mire, it looks like two of Havant, Chinnor, Lydney and Worthing will go down.

Below are the remaining fixtures for each side.

Looking at Chinnor’s run in, they will probably need to defeat Henley, Lydney, Hav-ant and Richmond to control their own destiny.

But whatever happens, it should be an exciting finish.
