Mark Bradstock has given Carruthers the green light to represent his Letcombe Bassett stables, near Wantage, in the RSA Chase at Cheltenham on Wednesday week.
The six-year-old has won two of his three starts over fences and turned in a hugely impressive display when landing the Grade 2 Reynoldstown Novices' Chase at Ascot last month in testing conditions.
Bradstock was unsure whether to run his stable star at the Festival in the immediate aftermath of that emphatic victory, but is now happy to let him take his chance.
"At the moment, he is going to Cheltenham and he came out of the Ascot race in really good form – although he obviously didn't have a very hard race that day," said Bradstock.
"He won on reasonably good ground at Fakenham a couple of starts ago and when he was second in his bumper, it was almost good to firm, so he handles most ground."
