Witney United’s outside title hopes appear to be over after they crashed to defeat against nine-man Almondsbury in the Premier Division on Saturday.
The game had three red cards, one of which was for Witney skipper John McMahon.
The home side went in front after ten minutes when Brad Andrews poked the ball home.
A hard challenge by McMahon brought about a full-on brawl, which resulted in red cards for the home side’s Kane Ingram and keeper Ben John and McMahon himself for retalition.
Witney drew level just before half time through JP Mills.
After the break, Almondsbury had a purple patch in which they netted three goals in a 20-minute period.
First Saha Kabba drilled home a free-kick to make it 2-1, and then the Andrews eluded two Witney defenders to slot home No 3.
Paul Chenoweth finished well to make it 4-1.
In stoppage time, Ryan Curtin put a penalty wide, before Ben Thompson netted a late goal for Witney.
Wantage Tn 0
Marlow Utd 2 (Ovens 29, Doswell 83)
Wantage keeper Darryl Simms was sent off as Wantage lost to Marlow at Alfredian Park.
Simms saw red in the 28th minute for a foul on Marlow forward Gary Wiltshire with defender Gary Swann replacing him in goal.
A minute after the red card, Marlow went in front when a long cross to the far post was headed past Swann by winger Lee Ovens.
Danny Keen and Gavin Jones went close for Wantage, but the game was sealed seven minutes from time when a handball led to a penalty, which Mark Doswell fired home.
Harrow Hill 0
Abingdon Tn 4 (Larman 44, Simms 82, 84, Fowler 90)
A late double from Mark Simms helped Abingdon Town to a comfortable victory over basement boys Harrow Hill.
Tom Larman put Town in front just before the break, firing into the net off a home defender.
After the break, Gareth Walker denied Eddie Weyman with a fine save before Simms doubled the lead when he fired home from Larman’s lay-off.
Simms made it 3-0 after clipping a shot over Beckett, before Drew Fowler completed victory.
Hungerford Tn 2 (Blackford 47, Gosling 60)
Hook Norton 1 (Johnson 60)
Jamie Cramond suffered a broken ankle as Hook Norton lost narrowly at the runaway leaders.
Cramond’s injury came after only 15 minutes when he attempted to block a Hungerford shot.
The home side went in front just after the break when Chris Blackford netted from a free-kick, but Hooky hit back when Ricky Johnson lashed home.
However, with ten minutes left, Hungerford snatched victory when Jamie Gosling tapped home.
Flackwell Heath 2 (Cannaway 25, Cannon 42)
Ardley Utd 2 (Green 11, Stidder 16)
Ardley were pegged back from a 2-0 lead to draw at Flackwell.
They went in front when Tom Green side-footed home, and then Andrew Stidder doubled the lead.
Lee Cannaway and Ricardo Cannon struck back for the home side.
Milton Utd 1 (McCabe 45)
Reading Tn 1 (Rees pen 80)
Gary Hartley was sent off as Milton held high-flying Reading Town to a draw at The Heights.
Milton took the lead on the stroke of half-time when Warren McCabe fired home.
Striker Hartley saw red for a second booking, before Reading equalised from the penalty spot, Scott Rees sending Milton keeper Craig Griffiths the wrong way.
Bicester Tn 0
Kidlington 0
Bicester goalkeeper Tom McNamara was in inspired form as his side held Kidlington to a draw.
McNamara then produced a fine save in the first half to deny Jimmy Deabill’s header.
In the second half, McNamara again denied Deabill early on, while Mark Flanagan fired over.
In the dying minutes, Deabill was denied yet again by McNamara, who produced another stunning save.
