Milton United have appointed Andy Bone as their new boss after Kevin Lloyd moved upstairs.

Bone will be assisted by Harry Malcolm as the club look to pull away from the drop zone in the FTL Futbol Hellenic League Premier Division.

Milton chairman Barry Griffiths said: “Kevin was instrumental in getting Andy to join Milton.

“He recommended and introduced Andy to the club because he was so impressed by his coaching credentials and contacts.”

Milton face a tricky test at The Heights on Saturday as they take on high-flying Reading Town.

Wantage Town boss Richard Bourne has slammed his players’ lack of consistency ahead of the visit of Marlow United.

After back-to-back victories on the road, Wantage crashed 4-1 at Pegasus Juniors in midweek, leaving Bourne scratching his head.

“We can’t afford to give away silly goals.

“I’m sure our youth team could have defended better on Wednesday!

“I’m expecting a big response from the lads tomorrow, the problem is we’re so inconsistent.”

Ellis Langford is out through suspension, while Matty Horsell (ankle) is doubtful.
