Bowdens Lane could bid to regain winning ways in the men’s open at the rearranged Bicester with Whaddon Chase Hunt meeting at Dunthrop, near Chipping Norton, on Sunday.
The Julie Houldey-trained ten-year-old captured the Lord Ashton of Hyde's Cup – one of the sport's four 'classic' races – by a distance at the Heythrop meeting there last month.
He then stepped up in class to tackle a hunter chase at Haydock, but was pulled up behind Murphy’s Cardinal and Le Duc.
Among his rivals could be Wickford, who was pulled up in the same Haydock race, but had previously beaten Man From Highworth at Barbury.
