Oxford United’s 'Wear your colours day' is proving to be a runaway success.
Every Oxford fan coming along to support their team against Torquay United on Saturday is being urged to wear yellow and blue and to get behind their team to create a great atmosphere for one of the biggest crowds of the season.
To help turn the whole stadium yellow and blue, the club shop is selling the yellow home shirts and blue away ones for just £9.99. Demand has been so high that stocks are starting to run low, so fans are advised to buy as soon as possible.
The special price offer ends at kick-off on Saturday. With Saturday's game kicking off at 5.45pm the club shop and ticket office will be opening from 12.30pm. Neither will be open after the game.
l THE Oxford United Football and Education Scheme hold their information and presentation day at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday.
Launched in 2007, the scheme provides talented young sports people aged between 16-19, both male and female, with the chance to combine playing and coaching with academic studies.
The academic programme encourages each student to develop their ability as a football player, while acquiring valuable knowledge and skills through educational courses such as the Btec Certificate in Sports Performance, as well as gaining FA coaching and physiotherapy certificates.
Anyone interested in finding out more about the programme should turn up on the day – doors open at 1pm for a 1.30 start.
