Rover Oxford were crushed 8-2 at home in Women’s Conference West by top-of-the-table University of Birmingham.
With a small squad of 13, Rover worked hard against a fit squad of 16, three of whom were just back from Australia with Great Britain Under 21s.
Birmingham seemed to find the goal at will and were six up at half-time.
Rover managed two late consolations from Emily Court, and Lynn Cockshott after she rounded the keeper.
