Abingdon had keeper Sam Warrell sent off as they went down to their second home defeat in a week.

Billy Beechers fired over after being found by Julian McCalmon.

At the other end, Abingdonkeeper Sam Warrell denied Dave Lawrence with a one-handed save. Warrell then kept out David Warner.

Abingdon’s went ahead when Micheas Herbert diverted Richard Peirson’s goalbound effort into the net.

With half time looming, Anaclet Odhiambo missed a great chance, but fired over after a Luke Holden pass put him clear.

After the break, warner fired straight at Warrell and they levelled from the penalty spot through Lee Tunnell after he was tripped in the area, Tunnell later struck a post before Warrell was sent off for bringing down Warner, Beechers took over in goal, but was unable to stop Tunnell’s spot-kick despite guessing the right way.

Holden had a chance in the last minute, but shot over the bar and their chance of salavaging a draw was gone.
