Oxfordshire's two major youth leagues, the Oxford Mail Boys League and the Giles Sports Witney Youth League, remain hopeful that they will complete their fixture lists in time, despite the big freeze.
Paul Lyon, from the Oxford Mail Boys League said: “It looks like there will have to be midweek games during April and May.
“But the school holidays span almost the whole of April, so teams will be short of players.
“One of the problems we had last year was that Oxford City Council took down their goals in the first week of May and our season didn’t finish until May 18.
“Hopefully this year they will be more sympathetic and keep them up a bit longer.”
Wayne Tilling, press officer for the Witney Youth League said: “Our season ends on the third weekend of May.
“Before the cancellation of last weekend’s games, all matches had a fixture date scheduled, and we had not produced any fixtures for that last week.
“Most clubs actually have several weekends available before then, so we’re not worried at the moment.”
