DROOPYS Quinta is likely to head the market as the 2009 Pattinson Construction Trafalgar Puppy Cup gets under way at Oxford Stadium tonight – providing the meeting survives an 11am inspection.
Two meetings have already been lost this week to snow with yesterday’s BAGS meeting and Thursday night’s card being abandoned.
Racing manager Gary Baiden said that if tonight’s card goes the same way then the Trafalgar Cup heats would be rescheduled, probably for next Saturday.
But if the fixture goes ahead, Droopys Quinta, who finished third in the Oaks at Wimbledon in December, will take all the beating in the second heat.
Sean Cahill’s white and black dog ran a good trial last Saturday.
One who may rustle him up is champion trainer Charlie Lister's Tullymurry Kiara, who also impressed with a 26.88secs trial.
The pair look good to get through to next Saturday's final to chase the £1,000 pot.
