Democrats made it ten wins in a row in Section 2 of the Johnsons Buildbase Oxford League with a 4-1 home victory over Gladiators Club B.
The leaders lost the opening leg when Reg Johnson beat John Patey 3,550-1,820.
But then Terry Green (2,480), Billy Hill (5,700), Richard Garrett (8,890) and Bob Parsons took the next four games.
Headington Conservative Club also hit back from losing the first game to win 4-1 at Shelley.
Ian Dunmore, Tim Jeffries and Graham Mildenhall were among Headington’s winners after Martin Coulthard took the opener for Shelley.
Premier Section leaders Horse & Harrow won 3-2 at home to Dolphin.
Keith Sheard (11,560, break 10,920) put Horse & Harrow in front only for Dolphin to take the next two as Mick Murphy beat Steven Sheard and Alan Lowe (8,430, break 5,200) defeated Pete Ewins.
Pauline Withey levelled with a 7,380-3,340 victory over Dave Rose, before Mark Trafford posted a winning break of 9,860 in his score of 12,200 to give his side victory after Martyn Wood failed with his break.
Bob Pincombe scored 10,030, but Gladiators A went down 4-1 at home to Vikings.
Bob Allsworth (5,950), Ian Moss (7,300), Mike Jones (7,720) and Alan Oliver, who sank the last ball in the 200 pocket to win, were Vikings’ victors.
Masons B won 3-2 at home to Nelson B.
Chris Webb led the way with 16,100 – including a break of 10,980 – and other wins came from Dave Butt and Martin Skyrme, who scored 7,900.
Dave Bartlett (3,990) and Lewis Stratford (3,120) picked up Nelson’s points.
