Mark Bradstock, who trains at Letcombe Bassett, near Wantage, is praying for dry weather to get King Harald back on the course at Cheltenham this weekend.

The ten-year-old, who is jointly-owned by Oxford-based Peter Bennett-Jones, holds entries in the Irish Times Amateur Riders' Handicap Chase on Friday, but his preferred option is Saturday's Servo Computer Services Trophy.

He has not been since landing a four-mile handicap chase at Doncaster in February, having missed the William Hill Trophy at the Cheltenham Festival with a pulled groin muscle.

“It all depends on the ground,” said Bradstock. “He's in brilliant form, but he really wants good ground.”

KYLKENNY, East Ilsley trainer Hughie Morrison’s veteran, recorded a remarkable 24th career success with victory at Southwell on Monday.

Making his 125th racecourse appearance, the 13-year-old was registering his 17th win at the Nottinghamshire track.
