Snow, frost, ice and then heavy rain and high winds - what an end to October and a start to November!
I was going to write this week that chub should be what we are targeting now, but then last Saturday the heavens opened.
It also turned a little warmer.
The rivers and streams around the area have got some colour and some pace to them, so hopefully everything will be back to near normal this weekend.
If so, I shall have a few days over on the Severn, but everywhere should fish pretty well.
Last week, I reported how the Jolly Anglers match fished on their Town Waters produced over 27lb of fish and there were good weights right the way through, yet only a couple of miles upstream in the Dorchester match, only one roach was caught.
Something’s not quite right, is it?
