Theinaugural BOBi League (Berks, Bucks and Oxon inclusive League) begins this month, and will offer competitive football for disabled players over the age of 12.

Fourteen teams have entered the first season of the BOBi League, representing five different clubs.

Oxfordshire-based clubs th-at have entered this season are Oxford City Casuals and Banbury United LD.

As well as playing in the league, these two clubs also offer regular coaching sessions, which are based on developing ability while having fun.

The league is a pan-disability competition with four divisions.

Owain Prosser, the football development officer for the Oxfordshire Football Ass ociation explained: “The BOBi League provides a fantastic opportunity for disabled footballers in the county to play competitively in a fun and safe environment.

“The fact that there have been so many teams registered already shows that there is a massive interest in disabled football, and I can only see the league growing in future years.”
