Matthew Woodley’s first-half goal gave Vale of White Horse Under 13s a 1-0 win over Reading in the English Schools’ FA Under 13 Trophy second round at Milton United.
Despite playing against a strong wind in the first half, Vale took the lead after 20 minutes when Connor Powell crossed for Woodley to score from close range at the far post.
The second half was one-way traffic with Vale on top, but they were unable to find the net again.
