Wallingford suffered a narrow 15-6 defeat at second-placed Maidenhead in South West 2 East after twice leading.
Wing Jackson Sayce slotted penalties on six and 18 minutes, either side of one from home centre Edward Keohane.
Keohane converted a try from prop Alistair Rivers to make it 10-6 at the break.
Lock Mark Mueller added a second try on the hour mark to complete Maidenhead’s victory.
